When looking for DMV records in Texas, the main place to look is at the website for the Texas Department of Transportation, which oversees the Texas DMV.  To access the website you can go to www.dot.state.tx.us and right on the very first page, there are a lot of listings of information that you can click on and do your research. 

Most of the information on this site is point and click, so when you find the information you need, just click on it and you will be taken directly to that information.  There is also excellent and in depth contact information.  The Contact Us section is at the bottom of the main page.  You can contact the Texas DMV
