Oregon DMV Records Online

If you are searching for DMV records for Oregon there is plenty to find on their website. To get to the records you can go to http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/DMV/records/index.shtml, which is the official website of the DMV and part of the Oregon.gov website.

On the main page you will find a blue section on the lefthand side. This section has drop down menu that lists the departments. Just below that there is a section called “About Us” that gives basic general information regarding the Oregon DMV. Just below that section, there is a section to click on for “Contact Us” information followed by “Online Services.”

There are other sections as well including information to locate an office, a section for dealers and businesses. There are also sections for military personnel and teen drivers, plus a section called “Search DMV.” To make the site accessible to more people, there is a section cqalled “En Espannol” which is entirely in Spanish.

Moving to the center of the page there are links to General Records and Privacy Information. You can click to find out answers to questions such as how to order a DMV record, accident information and how to read a driving record.

To get started simply click on the section about the information you need and keep going fromm there. Since this is the official website through the State of Oregon, it contains the most up to date and accurate information available and charges nominal fees for the information.

There are other websites that claim to be free or very reasonable, however, these are outside companies not connected with the Oregon DMV. Not only do they charge the official Oregon state fees for records and information, but they also add on their own fees and sometimes have hidden fees that have a way of showing up on your credit card without your knowledge or consent because of their “fine print.”

So, try to go through the official website to get your information. If you can’t find it and you have exhausted every avenue call and talk to someone at the DMV before going to an outside site. Oregon, along with many states, has made it easier to find the information you are looking for.
