New York DMV Records Ordering Process

When you go onto the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles website at www.nydmv.state.ny.us/ you will find a fact-filled home page that is clear, easy to navigate and most likely has the information you need. There are clear sections that contain numerous specific topics that you can click on and get right to the information you are looking for. 

One of the things that stands out about the site is that without feeling too crowded the page has dozens and dozens of categories to look through with just one click.

To save you some time, once you are on the site you can scroll down to the bottom section of the page and one of the listings will be “get DMV records”.  Click on that listing and it will begin your search for what you need.

You can contact the New York state DMV there is a title to click on at the top of the page which says “Contact or Visit”.  Click on that and you will find information regarding how to contact the New York State DMV.

If you want to contact by email, there is a place to click which will take you directly to a page where you can compose an email and simply click “send” when it is complete.  If you want to visit or call, there are sections to click for each, and they will take you to a list of phone numbers and addresses.  By finding your county, you can click on it and pull up the office or phone number nearest you.
